What Is Reading History?
Your Reading History is a record of every book you have borrowed from the library, including books you have already returned. It is a handy way to remember what you have read and find a book's details again without searching the catalog from scratch.
How to View Your Reading History
- In the sidebar, go to My Library → Reading History (or navigate to
/patron/reading-history). - A list of all your past loans appears, sorted from newest to oldest.
- Each entry shows:
- Book title and author
- Cover image (if available)
- Date you borrowed it
- Date you returned it (or "Currently Borrowed" if you still have it)
Searching Your History
If you have borrowed many books and want to find a specific one:
- Use the Search field at the top of the page to filter by title or author.
- Results update as you type.
What You'll See
A chronological list of borrowed books. Currently active loans appear at the top, followed by returned books in order from most recent to oldest.
Privacy Note
Your reading history is private. Only you and authorised library staff can see it. Library staff may access borrowing records for operational purposes such as confirming a return or resolving a dispute.
Tips
- Found a book you loved in your history? Click its title to go to the catalog detail page and check if there are similar titles you might enjoy.
- Your reading history also feeds the Recommended For You section on your dashboard — the more you borrow, the better your recommendations become.
