The MARC Analytics dashboard shows how complete your catalog's MARC data is, and which records need the most attention.
How to Access
Go to Reports → MARC Analytics in the admin sidebar.
What the Dashboard Shows
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| MARC completeness | Percentage of records that have MARC data |
| Field coverage | Which MARC fields are most and least populated across the collection |
| Top 15 subjects | The most common subject headings in your collection |
| Language distribution | How many records are in each language |
| Classification breakdown | Records using Dewey, LC, or custom classification |
| Quality indicators | % with ISBN, subjects, descriptions, authors, and cover images |
| Records needing attention | The 10 most recently added records with missing MARC data |
How to Use the Report
- Check the MARC completeness % — aim for 80%+ for DepEd reporting accuracy.
- Review field coverage to see which fields are commonly missing.
- Use the Records needing attention list to find specific books that need MARC data added.
- Click any record in that list to open the MARC Catalog Editor for that book.
